About the Director

Cynthia Damaskos, DirectorDirecting the Orthodox Speakers Bureau is Cynthia Damaskos. Cynthia comes to the OSB with almost 30 years of business experience with an emphasis on sales and customer service. After training under three professional speakers who specialize in Presentation Skills, Cynthia became a presentation trainer herself and it became her first love. The other love of her life came to her in December of 1996 when she met her husband Demetrius and was introduced to Orthodox Christianity for the first time. After studying church history, doctrine and theology for over 4 years, she was committed to become a member of the Orthodox Church.

Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, she enjoys adventures in the great outdoors including skydiving, rock climbing, whitewater rafting, fly fishing and hiking. Now living the Midwest, her daily adventures tend to be on the tennis court and in the kitchen. Having returned recently from a culinary school in Italy, she strives to fulfill the constant demand for Italian and Greek cuisine while making time to learn the ancient art of iconography.

Despite her extensive sales experience, Cynthia stresses that the Orthodox Speakers Bureau is all about service. Serving the host and the speaker by facilitating a relationship that ensures successful events is the goal. No one plans to get rich here, but we do pray that everyone comes away from each event with a good experience and their wildest expectations met.
