Christ is Risen!

I pray you are all having a blessed Paschal season.  It’s probably a good time to update everyone on what is happening at the OSB, since you heard virtually nothing from me during Lent!

There are several new speakers coming on board (just waiting for their bios!), new newsletters focusing on speaker specials that have been going out, and even some new topics in the works.  It’s like spring at the OSB….it’s beautiful now, but it’s going to get even better!  God willing, I will be attending the Antiochian Archdiocese Convention in July and will have a booth.  Hopefully this will help spread the news that the OSB is a convenient one stop resource when booking parish events.  We are always open to suggestions and comments, so always feel free to contact me!

I remain your servant in Christ,

Cynthia

We are delighted to announce Pres. Jeannie Constantinou Ph.D. as our newest speaker!

Presvytera Jeannie Constantinou is known for her dynamic speaking style and energetic presentations. Her listeners frequently comment that she makes times and people of the Bible and early Christian history come alive. She has led bible studies, taught and lectured on the Bible, early Christianity and Orthodoxy at parishes, conferences, retreats and seminars for over thirty years. Last year, she made an effort to create an outreach and outlet for those Orthodox Christians who for a variety of reasons cannot attend a parish bible study and she began the first Orthodox internet bible study podcast, “an interesting and accessible bible study for busy people,” called Search the Scriptures on Ancient Faith Radio.  There is so much more to know about Dr. Constantinou, please click here!

Welcome Dn. George Bithos!

We are so happy to have Dn. George Bithos as one of our speakers! The son of a Greek Orthodox priest, he served as a lay person on many Archdiocesan, Diocesan and parish councils as well as on many civic and educational commissions. He was bestowed the title of Archon Exarchos of the Ecumenical Patriarchate for his service to the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese.  Dn. George received his Doctorate in Theology at the University of Durham in England, where he had two disciplines: Orthodox Theology and Byzantine History. This was only the start of the opportunities that led him to Oxford, Patmos Greece, and back to the U.S., sharing podiums with Metropolitan Kallistos Ware, Fr. John Jillions, Frederica Mathewes-Green, Rev. Dr. Andrew Louth, Metropolitan Isaiah of Denver, Rev. Dr. Thomas Fitzgerald and Deborah Belonick.  Please make sure you look at his speaker page, as his knowledge far exceeds this short synopsis!
