Michael Haldas is an author, a religious educator, and a speaker. He wrote the book Sacramental Living: Understanding Christianity as a Way of Life, which he presented special leather bound editions of as gifts to both Pope Francis and Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew in private audiences at the Vatican and the Patriarchate. Michael also does twice-monthly podcasts for Ancient Faith Radio, a division of Ancient Faith Publishing. He is published monthly in Theosis Magazine and is a regular contributor to a new blog series based on Sacramental Living.
Additionally, he has recorded and contributed to multiple DVD and CD educational projects. He is also on the board of the Washington Theological Consortium. He teaches adult religious education and high school Sunday school at the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George in Bethesda, Maryland and has worked with the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese Religious Education Department to create educational lessons and materials. Michael has a B.A. in English, with a concentration in Business and Technical Writing, from the University of Delaware.
Michael is also a lifelong J.R.R. Tolkien enthusiast and his book, Echoes of Truth: Understanding Christianity in The Lord of the Rings complete with artwork is expected soon. Michael owns a proposal consulting company that specializes in federal health care contracts and has a bachelor’s degree in English with honors with a concentration in Business and Technical Writing from the University of Delaware.
